The purpose of the Section 5310 Specialized Transportation Program is to enhance mobility for older adults and persons with disabilities by removing gaps and barriers to transportation access. The program provides federal assistance for 80% of the cost of capital projects and 50% for operating projects. Applications for 5310 grants are open annually in the spring.
